EV & hybrid repair.

After a collision in an EV or hybrid, the exact model and strike point matter as much as the visible panel. Share the year and variant, any underbody or charging-area contact and warnings you already saw. That helps separate body work from concerns that may need specialist assessment before arrival.

Start an estimate

This service covers collision assessment and body repair. Battery repair or replacement is a separate scope to confirm for the vehicle.

Describe the exact EV or hybrid variant, strike point and new warnings, especially after underbody or charging-area contact. A photo cannot establish electrical safety; discuss body scope, specialist needs and safe arrival before transport.

The model and impact point set the questions.

Two electric vehicles can have very different repair requirements. Make, model, year and the location of the damage are more useful than simply identifying the car as an EV.

Body and paint

Panel damage, paint preparation and replacement decisions still need a defined scope. Electric propulsion does not make every exterior repair a battery repair.

Systems near the impact

Report a damaged charging-port area, underbody impact or new warning message. Do not handle exposed electrical parts or try to inspect a high-voltage battery yourself.

Cameras and sensors

Body and glass work can involve driver-assistance components. Applicable checks or calibration depend on the model, the system and the work performed, not just whether the vehicle is electric.

Send the model and the concern.

In the estimate notes, describe what appeared after the impact and what was present before it. Do not drive or charge the vehicle just to reproduce a warning. Follow manufacturer guidance and confirm the shop can receive the specific vehicle before arranging transport.

Useful vehicle details

  • Year, make, model and EV or hybrid variant
  • Impact location, including any known underbody contact
  • Warning messages already visible, without operating the car to reproduce them

Confirm before drop-off

  • The vehicle-specific scope the shop will assess
  • Any transport or arrival precautions
  • Whether additional specialist assessment is needed

Define the scope first.

Does an EV body repair estimate include battery replacement?

Not automatically. Exterior damage and high-voltage battery concerns require different assessments. If the impact involved the underbody or charging area, say so when submitting the request and confirm the proposed scope before authorizing work.

Should I charge an EV that has collision damage?

Do not use charging as a test of whether a damaged vehicle is safe. If electrical or battery damage is suspected, do not charge it; follow the manufacturer’s instructions and seek qualified assistance. For smoke, fire or immediate danger, move away and call emergency services.

What should I confirm for my exact EV or hybrid?

Confirm the vehicle-specific body repair scope, whether additional specialist assessment is needed, and any arrival precautions before arranging transport. Exterior photos cannot establish electrical safety or settle every system requirement.

Start with the exact vehicle.

Add the exact vehicle variant, impact location and warning messages already visible. Discuss the assessment scope and how the vehicle should arrive before arranging transport.
