A shallow depression, stretched area and sharp crease need different consideration. Include the surrounding body line in your photos so the dent has context.

A shallow door ding and a crease through a fender’s body line are different repair questions. Show the dent in the context of the entire panel, then note broken paint or a door that no longer works normally. Restart can assess the shape, finish and access before discussing options.

The size of a dent is only one factor. Its position on an edge or body line can matter as much as how wide it appears.
The paint’s condition
Cracked or missing paint introduces refinishing work beyond reshaping the panel. Describe chips and scratches separately, even if they occurred with the same dent.
Access and panel condition
What is behind the panel, its material and any previous repairs can affect the options. A photograph of the outside cannot confirm all of those factors.
One angle can hide a dent.
In daylight, photograph the whole panel, then the dent straight on and from an angle that shows its reflection. That makes the shape and nearby body line easier to discuss, but photos cannot establish access behind the panel. Do not push on the dent or remove trim for a picture.

Could my dent qualify for paintless dent repair?
Some dents with intact paint may be candidates, depending on shape, location, material and access. Ask about suitability and availability for your vehicle during assessment; we do not promise paintless repair from a photo.
Why would a dented panel need replacement?
Severe deformation, damage at an attachment area or the panel’s repair requirements may make replacement appropriate. Ask why replacement is recommended rather than judging the decision by dent size alone.
Can I get several unrelated dents assessed together?
Yes. Identify each panel and separate older damage from any recent impact. That makes it easier to discuss the work as a whole while keeping each area’s repair scope clear.
